Multifunction Analog Input / Output Card
The FLEX-AIO-8-I card is a versatile 8-channel, fully isolated input/output module for the Flexs Q5M series. It features 4500W surge suppression, a durable solid-state design, and often eliminates the need for external surge devices. UL recognized, it’s software-configurable for discrete, voltage, current, thermocouple, and RTD, simplifying installation and wiring. With up to 5000 VRMS surge isolation and advanced diagnostics for overload and open circuits, it ensures reliable operation in noisy environments. It supports various modes including mA, voltage, discrete I/O, RTD, thermistor, and thermocouple connections.
High Speed Analog Input Card
The FLEX-AI-HS card is a versatile high-speed analog input module for the Flexs Q5M series CPU, available in three variants. The FLEX-AI-HS-1.2V is ideal for energy metering with extreme accuracy, perfect for direct connections to 0.333V current and voltage transformers. The FLEX-AI-HS-60V supports energy monitoring, DC voltage monitoring, discrete inputs, pulse counting, and compatibility with 0-5V and 0-10V sensors. Lastly, the FLEX-AI-HS-300V is designed for monitoring AC RMS line voltage, as well as AC/DC discrete and voltage inputs.
DC Solid State Relay Load Switch Card
The FLEX-SW-30VDC-5A-SS is a 5A, 30V DC solid-state relay card for the Flexs Q5M Modular PLC. It’s designed for reliable DC load control with features like 3.5KV optical isolation and unlimited switching cycles, making it ideal for controlling fans, pumps, telecom equipment, and solar charge systems. The card is rated for a peak current of 100A and operates in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C, offering robust performance in various environments. It typically uses the PSMN3R9-100YSFX load switch mosfet, providing safe and reliable operation.
AC Mechanical Relay Load Switch Card
The FLEX-SW-250VAC-5A-RLY is an 8-channel relay card designed for switching loads up to 5A at 250VAC. It features robust performance with a 10KV impulse withstand voltage and operates in temperatures from -40°C to 70°C. The card is fully sealed, ensuring durability in various environments, and conforms to UL, CSA, and VDE standards. It’s suitable for switching voltages up to 250VAC or 30VDC, handling maximum loads of 1250VA or 150W, making it ideal for a variety of industrial applications.

The Flexs Q5M operates within a versatile input voltage range of 9-30V DC, making it adaptable to various power sources. It has a low power consumption of just 0.5W, though power usage may vary depending on additional FlexCards (details available in the FlexCard datasheet). The unit is equipped with a durable 4-pin industrial DC power connector, ensuring secure and reliable connections for your power needs.

The Q5M Base Unit is equipped with various user-friendly connections to make your experience smooth and flexible. It includes a standard Ethernet port for easy networking, two RS485 connectors (one isolated and one non-isolated) for device communication, and a 4-pin CANBUS connector for connecting additional devices. There’s also a microSD slot for extra storage and a CR2032 button battery to ensure continuous operation. Plus, the FlexCard slot allows you to expand the system, offering multiple options for power and communication. It’s designed to be adaptable without the hassle of technical complexity!
Ethernet Connectivity
The unit features a single LAN port that supports 10/100 Mbps speeds, with automatic MDI/MDIX crossover for seamless connections. It complies with IEEE 802.3 series standards, including 802.3u and 802.3az, ensuring reliable and efficient networking performance.
CANBUS Support
The unit comes with a single 4-pin CANBUS connector, allowing for reliable communication between devices in a network. This connector is ideal for integrating with other systems that use the CANBUS protocol, offering stable and efficient data transfer in various applications.
RS485 Interface
The unit offers two RS485 connectors for device communication: one isolated 4-pin connector for added protection against electrical interference, and one non-isolated 4-pin connector for standard connections. This gives you flexibility for different systems and setups.

Onboard JavaScript scripting enables advanced automation. Data logging options include real-time monitoring via the web interface, SD card logging, or polling through SNMP, HTTP, or Modbus. The cloud connection allows batch updates and efficient data uploads, providing full control, whether standalone or connected.
